Bud Ogle

President

Bud is an ordained Presbyterian minister and has a Masters of Divinity and a PhD in Diplomatic History. He is a co-founder of Good News Partners and a long-time North of Howard Neighborhood resident.

Brian Drell

Rehab Crew Manager
Brian has over 20 years of rehab experience and has managed rehab crews for Lettuce Entertain You restaurants. He is a North of Howard neighborhood resident who owns and manages his own multi-unit building.

Donte Fain

Teen Advocate

Donte grew up in the North of Howard Neighborhood, and was a Rogers Park Peace Award winner. He has certificates from Navy Pier Stand for Peace, Rites of Passage (Leadership), Vista Leadership Development, and Just Us Arts (Performing).

Damascus Harris

Chaplain
Director of New Life
Damascus is an ordained minister with a M.Div. from Chicago Theological Seminary. He is the associate minister at Harvey Memorial Community Church and active in the Rainbow Push Coalition. His bachelor degree is in Finance, and he has extensive experience in the business world.

Hendretha Hill

New Life Family Advocate

Hendretha has 25 years experience as a case manager and counselor. Before joining Good News Partners, she worked for Lutheran Social Services, Housing Opportunity for Women, and New Moms, Inc., with particular expertise in addiction counseling and family assessment.

Peter Horth

Chief Operating Officer

Peter has seven years experience as a youth advocate. He holds a BA in Philosophy and a BA in History, and has an Elementary Education Certificate (Ohio). As a Northwestern University student in the mid-1970’s, he was involved with Good News Partners at its inception.

Leah Kranz

Development Director
Leah has several years in Non-Profit management. She began her career in 1979 as the Executive Director of the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Leah has continued to grow in Non-Profit management over the years, most recently as Resource Development Manager at San Jose Obrero Mission.

Ann Lerman

Reading Coaches Director
Ann has been working with struggling readers in the North of Howard neighborhood for over thirteen years. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching and a specialty degree in reading, and is a member of the International Reading Association.

Richard Marks

Jonquil Hotel Manager
Richard has eight years of increasing experience in property management. He holds three certificates in Landlord Training.

Marcos Ramirez

Property Manager
Marcos has over 10 years of carpentry experience. He is also bilingual and a neighborhood resident. Marcos has been a member of the Good News Partners staff for more than three years. He holds a Certificate of Training in Property Management.

Nora Wilburne

Youth Advocate
Nora has a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Education and Religious Studies from Bradley University. She has used her degree to work with many social service agencies. Nora loves children and enjoys teaching them the Good News.
