New life interim housing renovation

Thanks to a generous donor, any gifts received between March 25 - April 30 will be matched up to $150,000!

The New Life Shelter Renovation dream began in 2020 by a faithful volunteer from First Presbyterian Church of Evanston, Dana Grote Teeter. Despite a pandemic, Dana secured a grant and continued to raise funds. Sadly, in October of 2021, Dana passed away from a long battle with cancer.  Her deep desire was to see this project complete.

Our New Life Renovation Team is staying strong and determined to complete this project by the summer.

With your help, the New Life Renovation will have…

  • A brand-new facility, from pipes for plumbing to upgraded building standards

  • New double door secure entrance

  • Completely upgraded separate family bathrooms

  • New counseling, training and computer space

  • New playroom for kids with viewing space adjacent

  • Fully renovated kitchen with island and lounging area

  • Air conditioning and upgrading of all mechanical systems

  • New furnishings, from beds and tables to toys and computers for children’s learning

  • Sheets and towels, kitchen utensils and dishes

Please join in to make this $300,000 goal!

Give today so Good News Partners can finish the project as planned and fulfill the promise to provide dignified and desirable housing to those in transition.
